The Active Living Director is responsible for managing all social activities in and out of the community. This position is responsible for providing residents with a stimulating and varied calendar of activities and events in order to meet as many of the social needs of the residents as possible.

The Garden House Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the dementia program offered at a Merrill Gardens community, including staffing and the care for residents who are living in the Garden House.

    Job Requirements:
  •   Completion of Dementia training as required by state regulations
  •   Must have knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations
  •   Must have current C.N.A., L.P.N./L.V.N. certification as specified by state agency or ability to obtain required certification within six (6) months of date of hire
  •   Must be able to obtain First Aid and CPR training within 30 days of employment
  •   Must be available by phone or pager 24 hours a day

Accounting Manager
Corporate Office

The Accounting Manager is responsible to manage the day to day functions of the operating communities as it relates to accounts payable, payroll and cash management functions. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will also be responsible for reporting and compliance relating to sales and use tax issues. Adheres to customer service philosophy by providing excellent customer service to team members and residents.

    Job Requirements:
  •   Four year Accounting Degree
  •   Four to Five years of progressive accounting experience (Public accounting preferred)
  •   High attention to details
  •   Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
  •   Good organization, time management and communication skills

Regional Active Living Director
Corporate Office

The Regional Director of Active Living is responsible for training, assisting and providing support to Active Living Directors within a defined group of communities within a select region(s). This role also acts as the primary point of contact those Active Living Directors and oversees all aspects of activity programming within the defined region(s). Adheres to customer service philosophy by providing excellent customer service to team members and residents.

    Job Requirements:
  •   Commercial Driver’s License: Obtained within 90 days from date of hire.
  •   Must be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
  •   Available to travel approximately 75% of the time to train Active Living Directors as needed and conduct regional meetings as necessary.
  •   Must be able to communicate both written and orally in English.
  •   Must be at least 25 years of age
  •   Prefer three years of social activity leadership
  •   Criminal record clearance prior to presence in the community
  •   TB test results within 7 days of hire and a health screen within 30 days of hire (when transferring test results TB or health screen will not be older than 6 months)
  •   Prefer college degree
  •   Must have working knowledge of basic computer and software.
  •   Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 40 lbs, carry up to 30 lbs, frequent standing and walking required
  •   FSLA Status – Salary / Exempt
  •   Regular and timely attendance
  •   This position may require flexible scheduling to meet Activity Department needs in and out of the community to assure proper coverage.
