Bookkeeper - AP and GL Accounting - Northport

Accounts Payable & GL Accounting position is to provide bookkeeping and clerical support to other staff members for the timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable and General ledger related information pertaining to the Operations and Management division of Merrill Gardens. Adheres to customer service philosophy by providing excellent customer service to residents and team members.
Responsibilities
-Provide a high level of customer service to Residents and Team Members by achieving the standards as outlined in the MG CARES program
-Process accounts payable for Management and Operations Division which includes:
--Electronically receive data
--Check disbursement functions
--Filing
-Payroll - Back up support for related bookkeeping functions, including master file maintenance, data entry and filing.
-Fixed Assets – Entry of Operations fixed assets in to depreciation program and reconciliation to GL. Prep replacement reserve reimbursement requests for fixed assets additions.
-Cash – Prep bank reconciliations for numerous small bank accounts and petty cash accounts.
-Assist with general bookkeeping needs as required.
-Any other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Ten Key by touch and exposure to computer processing
• AA Degree with 2 years AP and GL experience
• Must be familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be well organized
• Must have good time management
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and spoken
