Update May 7:

We have now reached the important 14-day mark with no new positive cases of COVID-19 at the community.  The last reported positive case was a team member who has not been in the community since April 19.  We are pleased to report that no other team members or residents have reported symptoms of the virus.

We want to thank our resident for their cooperation in helping us to limit the virus at the community.  We believe that by following our Enhanced Resident Protection Protocol, they made a real difference.  While this news is extremely positive, we must remain vigilant in the fight against this virus.  Our Enhanced Resident Protection Protocol remains in place for now and we will provide updates as we explore new operational opportunities.

Update May 4:

Update April 27:

Update April 22:

To All Residents, Family Members and Team Members at Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga,

We want to let you know that a team member at the community has tested positive for COVID-19.  This individual last worked in the community on Sunday, April 19 and it is important to note that this team member does not provide resident care and does not generally interact with residents.  This individual is receiving care outside the community and will not return to work until they are symptom free and the quarantine period has passed.  We are in touch with anyone who might have been in contact with this individual and we are also continuing to do additional deep sanitation throughout the community.

No residents or other team members have tested positive for the virus at this time.  A team member who is associated with the individual with the positive diagnosis has also taken a test for the virus out of an abundance of caution.  That team member will also remain away from work pending the test results and we will provide an update when the results are returned.

We have been operating under our Enhanced Resident Protection Protocol since March 17 and that will continue as outlined below:

Visitors:

  • Visitors are not allowed at the community at this time.
  • If family members need to bring essential supplies to a resident, our team will meet them outside and deliver the items to the resident’s apartment.

Dining:

  • The dining room remains closed.
  • Residents receive all meals via cart service to their apartments.

Residents Remain in Apartments:

  • During this time, residents will need to remain in their apartments

Daily Temperature Checks:

  • We will continue checking residents and team members for fever symptoms each day

Please reach out to the community leadership team if you have any specific questions.
