General Manager
Charisa began working at Merrill Gardens at Sheldon Park in 2004 as a caregiver at age 19. Since then, she has served many roles, including Medication Tech, Health Services Assistant, Memory Care Administrator. In 2009, Charisa earned her LPN license and in 2014, she became Merrill Gardens at Sheldon Park's Executive Director. Charisa and her fiance Alexander love to go fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, and work on home projects. They have a great love of animals and have four dogs between the two of them. She says, "After working here for 12 years, this community is truly my family. Each resident has their own story and we love to celebrate them, hear and share their stories, and continue their independence. Our residents are so special and really help support each other as well."

"I moved to Sheldon Park three years ago. After many life changes, it was decided that I would leave my beloved Ashland and my friends of over 55 years and move to Eugene. My son’s family lives here, and my daughter and her family are in Seattle. From my first day, I realized the move was the correct decision. Sheldon Park is located within walking distance to a shopping mall and a branch of the Eugene Library!
The best part of my move has been the team here at Sheldon Park! They are friendly, helpful, and full of love for all the residents. Our servers treat us like their grandparents, with respect and love. They really care about us. I am now no longer alone! There is always someone to talk to, eat with, play games, and watch sports with. Moving to Sheldon Park and Eugene has succeeded in filling the empty hole in my heart!!"
