A Message From A Resident

Kent Gibson is an Emmy and Grammy winning producer and sound designer. He was born and raised in New Orleans and received his education in Connecticut and California. His company was based in Los Angeles but his work took him from Europe to Australia to Japan.

“I moved to Merrill Gardens at The University two and a half years ago from a different retirement community, and I can say that it’s 10 times better here. I had an immediate, convincing feeling that I could be happy in this community. First of all, the food is very good and that’s important to me. I know a lot about it; I’ve worked in the food industry selecting and providing food for different communities in Los Angeles. All the staff here know who you are and what you like. It’s amazing to see this community work together to provide the best activities and services. This place is really quite good; there are so many things to do, everything is possible! It’s been a great experience.”
