A Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), also known as a Life Plan Community, is designed to provide a continuum of care as residents' needs change over time. Traditionally, many CCRCs offered four levels of living and care on one campus: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. Today, however, some Life Plan communities no longer operate their own Skilled Nursing facilities and instead coordinate short-term rehabilitation or other Medicare-covered services through trusted healthcare partners.
Murano offers many of the same advantages residents seek in a Life Plan community, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, but without the large entrance fee or buy-in that is often associated with traditional CCRCs. In addition, Murano's flexible approach allows residents to remain in their apartment when Assisted Living services are needed, avoiding the disruption of another move.
Murano also provides extensive care services within Assisted Living. In many cases, residents can comfortably remain in the community through the end of life while receiving support from hospice providers when appropriate. This allows residents and their families to enjoy continuity and familiarity as care needs evolve.
Residents and families may explore long-term care insurance, veterans' benefits, and other financial resources. Community representatives can provide guidance and referrals.
Families should contact the community directly to discuss available resources and eligibility requirements for outside assistance programs.
A unique feature of Murano is its month-to-month rental structure, giving residents flexibility and avoiding long-term commitments. The community can guide residents throughout the transition, including apartment selection, move-in preparation, and settling in. Please contact the community for current move-in requirements. Specific move-out and notice requirements are outlined in the residency agreement and can be reviewed with the community team.
